I
kicked off 2005 with a booth space at The Annual Cubs Convention. I Exhibited "Lake Bound" in the 2115
Bowery Gallery National Competition, NY and was Published for the first
time in American Art Collector, a juried competition of new work. My first
large scale Giclee Exhibit was at the 2005 One of a Kind Show. I was picked up as a feature artist with Art
Encounter, a Vegas gallery. For the Chicago Art Open that year I Exhibited
"Memories". I also became a Member of the Illinois Artisans Shops,
administered by the Illinois State Museum, selling giclees through the
Artisan Shop in downtown Chicago. In October, kicking off Chicago
Artists Month, I walked in Art Walks Chicago. From 2005-2007 I had a dozen pieces hanging in a group show at Amata, located on the 22nd floor, 150 North
Michigan Ave. The last three months of the year I had a One Person
Exhibit hanging at Jane's in Wicker Park.
I hosted my first One Person Show, Old Town Art Gallery, in 2006. I hung Library Exhibits at Chicago's Edgebrook and John Merio branches. I hit the Art Fair circuit hard during the summer of '06 taking my signed limited edition canvas giclees on the road for 14 shows. I hooked up with Macy's Look Gallery on State Street. I continued with Look into 2007. In early October, A gallery owner and fellow Breakfast Grouper, included me in a Four Person Show titled "City Life" at Stolen Buick Studio. I wound down 2006 with an Open Studio as part of Fulton Arts Walk '06.
January 2007 I participated in a group show "Art House '07". A Collaboration of Art and Architecture. Fate and family prompted my move from Chicago to Vegas. Soon after arriving in Vegas I was in a Group Show at Contemporary Arts Collective, LV and exhibited as part of First Friday's art scene.
In 2008 I stuck close to Vegas, doing four pieces inspired by my move. From 2002 thru 2008 I had a steady stream of commissions on the easel. Each piece was customized with the Collectors favorite buildings, restaurants, street signs, family & pets... personalized art. I had work hanging thru 2009 at the Canyon Ranch Artwalk located in The Venetian. I exhibited at Retro Vegas and with the Vegas Artist Guild.
My current creative obsession involves working in photoshop, the computer is my new easel.
